Chai has made a new website for me!
A new website of my abstract paintings for sale is now live
Chai has made a new website for Dawn’s contemporary abstract art with a simple shopping cart wich includes PayPal payments. It has been a hard job to find a shopping cart that is free to take payments, so it was a God send to find one on the wordpress.org platform. The main reason why there is no shopping cart on this wordpress.com website is because this platform doesn’t allow for a shopping cart.
So Chai had to search for a platform that won’t cost an arm and a leg to incorporate a shopping cart. It has been a long search and finally found a very simple one which a lot of people are using. Most good ones cost a monthly fee for a package which includes web hosting and a payment facility which also cost money.
My Abstract expressionist painting today
the painting “Storm” has an abstract expressionist feel to it
Started this morning with colors that I seem to have used before but haven’t had much success and I thought I was going down the same track, but to my surprise, outside in perfect light for the camera (cloudy ) I’ve decided I like them, this time they’re working for me.
I shall add a touch more magenta which worked well but was covered by the layer of blue. It has a feel of a storm or something in nature to me.
Opening night tonight at the Preston High St, Melbourne Arts Club, Gallery Exhibition, PAINTV2

I was disappointed that I couldn’t make it.
You can follow it on twitter @Melb_ArtsClub and Facebook Melbourne Arts Club. Their website is https://melbourneartsclub.com/
the exhibition closes 9th August
I am in such a great place at the moment. My work has improved and finally producing a style I’ve desired . I believe it’s because I’m giving. As Paul McCartney said, and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make, and of course before Paul there is the greatest teacher of all, our Lord. Proceeds from my art are helping a group of the chakma people become self sufficient by building their own weaving business information about this on thechakmatrust.com.
I completed Jnr Manu a young Tongan friends portrait today, he told me he was (fatter) than I portrayed him so I had a bit of work to do, luckily enough he’s happy now. Sometimes wish I could draw a graph to get the proportions instead of calculating by sight but I’m hopeless at drafting with a ruler.
